Abstract
According to the holographic principle, the degrees of freedom of a space-time region are encoded on its boundary. AdS/CFT correspondence is a concrete realization of such a principle, since it relates geometrical quantities in the bulk anti-de Sitter (AdS) space-time to concepts defined in a conformal field theory (CFT) on the space-time’s boundary. The holographic approach allows to investigate the evolution of a black hole interior. A promising dual quantity describing the growth of the Einstein-Rosen Bridge inside a black hole is quantum computational complexity, defined as the minimum number of simple operations required to prepare a given state from a reference one. Two conjectures have been proposed for the bulk interpretation of the quantum complexity of a state in the boundary theory: Complexity=Volume and Complexity=Action. In this seminar, we discuss about the pros and cons of both the proposals, referring to explicit results.
