Techniques of particles and nanoparticle sampling in the atmosphere

Particulate matter is considered one of the air pollutants of major concern in the anthropised areas. In particular submicronic particles are able to penetrate deeply in the living beings, e.g. passing directly from lungs to blood.
The measurements of the aerosols is crucial for studies aimed at clarifying the particles’ dynamics and the development of suitable prevention strategies.
The workshop will focus on the main measurement aspects of aerosl monitoring, as well as on the research opportunity offered by newly available instruments on the market.
